The Uniform Consumer Credit Code Unit of the Colorado Department of Law regulates Colorado mortgage lenders of second mortgage loans, home equity loans, and free and clear first mortgage loans. Colorado Mortgage brokers of these loans are regulated by the UCCC only if the broker closes loans in the broker’s own name. Colorado’s licensee list is available for approximately $45.00 (25¢ per page) from the UCCC Unit at (303) 866-4494.

Colorado’s Uniform Consumer Credit Code was originally enacted in 19712 .
