The Division of Banking regulates Iowa mortgage lenders and Iowa mortgage brokers. Currently, there are 529 mortgage lender and mortgage broker licensees in the State of Iowa. Iowa’s licensee list is available on the Division of Banking website, http://www.dob.state.ia.us.
Iowa’s licensing statute for mortgage lenders and mortgage brokers was originally enacted in 1988. Iowa’s Consumer Credit Code was originally enacted in 19742.
